The Hubble Space Telescope

The Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most important scientific instruments ever constructed. Nearing the end of its working life, the telescope is scheduled for one more servicing mission in October 2008 to repair and upgrade its cameras, sensors, gyroscopes, batteries, instruments, and critical systems. Launched over 18 years ago, the aging space telescope will be like new upon completion of servicing mission 4. Join us Tuesday evenings in July as we explore the capabilities, history, and future of this amazing piece of modern technology. You'll gain an insight into how the space telescope works, find out what the hubble has been and will be studying, and marvel at incredible imagery sent to us from our space born eye on the heavens.
