Exoplanets and the Kepler Telescope

This month we focus our attention outside of the solar system to planets orbiting other stars. To date over 300 exoplanets have been discovered, but none that are earth like in size. The Kepler telescope will have the ability to discover earth-sized exoplanets. Whether it will or not remains to be seen. Visit the planetarium this month to learn how exoplanets are being discovered and where in your sky we are finding them.

This presentation is appropriate for ages 13 and above.
