Mars Rovers 5 Years Later

 

Designed to operate for only three months after arriving in January 2004, the Mars Rovers Spirit and Opportunity still continue to function today almost five years later. The two spacecraft have made amazing discoveries. Each has also sent back to Earth incredible images from the surface of Mars. Join us this month as we review what we've learned about the red planet from the Rovers and more recently from the Mars Phoenix Lander. We'll also look forward to some of the events of the International Year of Astronomy.
