Celebrating the International Year of Astrononomy in 2009

We are GO for the 1st Mt. Trashmore Star Party Friday, April 3rd

on the lake side of the mountain. Dozens of telescopes

will be set up as local amateur astronomers from BBAA, VPAS, NAS, and

and the planetarium share the night sky with you. The event is free!

Please no white light flashlights. The darker it is. the more you'll see.

Neal Fox, winner of the planetarium's first scholarship,

accepting the award with his Astronomy teacher Mrs. Bailey-Hennessey.

Neal is now a student at the University of Virginia.

Landstown HS student Mallory Rose, accepting the planetarium's

2008 scholarship with her teacher Ron Shaneyfelt. Mallory is

attending Longwood University.
